Loreal Haul!

A few weeks ago I at Riteaid and spotted these babies. These are Loreal's Project Runway Limited Edition. This is not the entire collection, theres a few more nail polishes, blushes, and lipsticks. They were running a sale for bogo 1/2 half and if you spent $50 you a $15 reward to use on your next riteaid purchase, as usual I could not resist limited edition a sale and a reward, hell yeah! The nail polishes were $4.95, the blush was $9.95, and the eyeshadow quads were $8.95, these are the regular prices I don't remember what I paid.Let's break it down!
This is Sultry Raven's Gaze. How cute are the wings on the front, anyway I thought I would really like this quad but Im kinda disappointed. They appeared to be all shimmers but the 2 dark colors are matte, dont get me wrong I love matte too but these just lacked pigment. Now the silver on top is way cool( you will see what I mean in the swatch below) and the purple is ok too but not what I was hoping for!
That silver is very metallic in person, trust me. Don't the black and brown shade just look blah!

This ones name is Charming Cockatoo's Gaze. Once again the black was a matte and wasn't very pigmented, and I would have preferred a teal blue color instead of the black with this quad. Besides the ugly black I do like the other 3 colors, the color above the black is very shimmery which I love!  Check out the swatches below!
I am gonna get a better camera I promise cuz these colors look way better in person!

This my favorite, if you know me you already know I love me some bright bright colors! Audacious Amazon's Gaze, is the name, ooh lala! The purple is matte but is way better than the black matte from the other quads, the other 3 shades are shimmery(yay!) I love every color in this quad but the peachy pink color doesnt fit in their for me I would have rather had a bright bubblegum pink, but oh well! Swatches below.
Once again much much better in person, that green and yellow are pretty bright!

Last quad we have is Watchful Owl's Gaze, perfectly named in my opinion! I like this quad but I don't love it, Im not a big brown or neutrals girl but the colors are great, deeply pigmented and the deep brown in the bottom right corner is another matte, guess what I dont like that one either. Hey if your more of a neutrals kinda chick I bet you will love this quad. Swatches below
The bronze color is awesome right? But look at the matte, maybe its just me lol!  That's it for the quads. Now on to the blush.

This is what they call a super blendable blush, the name is Charming Cockatoo's Blush! This the only blush I got cuz I really only use my pretty addictions blush but this caught my eye. Its very light and has some shimmer to it. after blended it looks like a light coral color with a hint of sparkle. Im gonna use this as a cheek highlight instead of a blush. Swatch below.
Ok maybe as a blush too, lol!

These are the nail polishes, there were 2 more but I didn't care for those colors so I didn't grab em. Sorry for the crappy swatches but I didnt have any fake nails to swatch on. Ok, from left to right the colors are
Amazon's Flare, a very bubblegum pink
Cockatoo's Mystery, this looks grey on camera but its kind of a light mauve grey color, so pretty!
Amazon's Flash, straight up gold shimmer which looks pretty good on.
Raven's Strength, my favorite this is a deep bluish black color, a great fall color.
Owl's Night, A deep brown with bronze glitter, this is also a great fall color.
Owl's Lust, love that name as well, this is such a pretty red color kinda reminds me of vampires, this would look great with Raven's Strength.

All in all I'm pretty happy with most of these limited edition Loreal Products, but I didn't care for the matte's they threw in the palettes.

Whats your favorite one?

Sephora Haul!

This haul is from last week. I was looking for a new shadow palette so I checked out sephora first cuz I knew since it was my birthday month I would get Philosophy's Vaniila Birthday Cake Bubble Bath/Body Wash/ Shampoo free with my order. I picked up the Mariposa Palette from Urban Decay, The Righteous Body Butter To Go, and a Brush Wand by sephora , and I got 3 free samples. So lets check it out!

This is the whole order I'll break it down for ya!

This is Urban Decay's Mariposa Palette which I believe is exclusively sold at Sephora. The colors from the top row left - right are Rockstar, which is much darker than it looks in this pic, its a deep shade of purple. Gunmetal, is basically a gunmetal grey color. Skimp, a very light peachy taupe. Infamous, this color looks way better in person, this is my fav. color in the palette, its a deep fuchsia. The last one in the top row is Wreckage(Love the name)its a medium brown sugar color.
The bottom row from left - right are Haight, a gorgeous deep ocean blue( my 2nd fav.)Next we have Money, this a light sea foam green. Mushroom, this is a light brown with some grey undertones. Spotlight, this a very very light almost translucent brown. Lastly we have Limelight( with this name I would expect some lime green in there but nope) this is a light shimmery copper color. They really do look more vibrant in person but I can never seem to capture their true colors. Overall I really do like this palette but I would have preferred more bright bold colors.

This is Sephora's Collection Brush Wand. This is four brushes all for your eyes that you can separate and then put to together magnetically. I just bought this because I thought it would be great to just toss in a makeup bag instead of having four separate ones. I also thought it would be much smaller than it actually is, wrong this thing is the size of 3-4 makeup brushes too. I will post a comparison pic underneath this to compare it to the size of a normal eye brush. I really didnt care for this it seems bulky to me and it just feels awkward holding it, plus the brushes themselves aren't that great either.
Way too big!

This is The Righteous Butter Body Butter by Soap & Glory. Right now sephora is offering this in a 50 ml size for 5 bucks so I though I would try it. The description says it their signature pink fragrance with fresh bergamot and mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, oakmoss, amber, woody notes and amber and vanilla notes on the bottom. Geez thats alot of very different scents, and guess what it doesnt smell like none of that to me, ok maybe oak moss cuz I have no clue what the hell that is, but this stuff smells like mens shaving cream. Im not kidding I had my b/f smell it and he agreed. What a waste of 5 bucks, I coulda got a really good coffee instead!

This was my free birthday gift from sephora, Philosophy's vanilla birthday cake bubble bath/ shower gel/ and shampoo in one. This did not dissapoint it smells like straight up like vanilla cake mix. I used it for bubble bath so I dont know how well it works as shampoo but its was free and free is almost always good! Thanks Sephora

These were the samples I chose Someday by Justin Bieber, ok I love Justin Bieber's music( I know I'm a dork) but I didnt think I would like his perfume but I gotta say Its pretty good. I gave this to my 4-yr. old step niece and she smiled from ear to ear, she had to put some on right away! Next I chose Addict To Life by Dior, I love this scent I dont know how to describe it but it smells awesome! I didnt really like any of the other choices so I picked this Dr. Brandt Pores No More, I haven't used this and probably never will but I'm keeping a bin of samples and such for a giveaway if I ever get any more subscribers! Thanks for stopping by!

Have you picked up anything good at Sephora lately?

This is huge!

5out of 5

Pros: Softens Skin, Relaxing, Multiple uses, Smells Great

Cons: Leaves Tub Residue

Best Uses: Bath, Gift

Describe Yourself: Special Skin Condition, Sensitive Skin

You can easily get 3-4 uses out of this, and it smells awesome. Only bad part is it leaves a little residue on your tub but that comes right off if you wipe your tub after your bath.

October Birchbox

Let me start by telling you a little bit about Birchbox. Its kinda like a magazine subscription but you can either pay for the whole year which is $110 or by month at only 10 bucks and you have the option to cancel anytime. They will send you a box usually around the 1st week of the month with about 4-5 products that vary depending on the month and your profile info. Then you have the option to buy these products at full price and you receive points from each purchase, then once you get 100( i think) you get $10 to buy anything from the site. You also receive points for giving them your thoughts on each product. Anyway lets get to the good stuff ans see what I got shall we.

This months theme was Prep & Finish

Each box comes with a card that list each product with their description and the price of the full size item.

AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream
this is their description: A mineral-rich salve that softens and smoothes without any residue. It smells pretty darn fresh too. And this is my opinion: It doesn't smell fresh at all it actually smells like a hospital to me, eew! Although it stinks it does smooth and soften as they say, I put it on about a half hour ago and my hands are still nice and soft. If you can get over the smell its not so bad but its kinda a bit pricey for me. A 3.4 oz tube goes for $20. No thank you!

They also threw in 2 small packets of AHAVA Dermud Foot Cream
There is no description on the card just the name so I'm guessing they just threw this in cuz they ran out of some of the better items, just a guess lol! Each packet contains about enough for a one time use. This does smell somewhat better than the hand cream it smells a little like shea butter. I guess your suppose to put this on before bed with a socks, but I cant stand wearing socks when I sleep so I just put it on without em and theres was no dramatic effect when i woke up my feet felt the same as always. Im assuming you gotta use it more than once to see any results though. I didnt care for the price on this either a 4.2 oz. tube sells for $26. If thats in your budget I say its worth a try.

Laura Geller Spackle Tinted Under Makeup Primer in Bronze
Their description: This hydrating primer gives you a flawless foundation for makeup-plus a subtle glow. It works on all skin tone-we tested it! Now my opinion: I am shocked but I actually like it. I'm very pale and was a little intimidated at first cuz i didnt wanna look bronzed like Snooki ,but it gave me a nice sheen to my normal look. A little bit truly does go along way with this, I put a dime sized amount on my hand and it was way way to much you really only need a dab. This isnt too badly priced it retails for $25 for a 2 oz. tube but compared to some other higher end primers out there this is a steal. I would definitely purchase this.

Ouidad Moisture Lock Leave in Conditioner
Their description: This light treatment infuses hair with antioxidants and vitamins, then seals strands to keep moisture in and humidity out. My opinion: I have to be honest I didnt even try it because I have tried their products before and really didnt care for them at all and I think for the full size the price is too much, but that's just my thought. A 6 oz. bottle sells for $18.

Sunday Riley Modern Skincare, Juno Transformative Lipid Serum
Their description: Celebs and models swear by this luxe cocktail of 13 essential oils, which absorbs instantly to replenish, firm, and protect skin.My opinion: first of all I dont know why I was sent this cuz i could never afford it, maybe the celebs and models can but I am neither. This sells for $125 for 30 ml, yeah you read that right 125 bucks are these people crazy! I was sent a 5ml bottle so that's like 20 plus bucks right there, wow! Anyways I gave in and tried it, hell who knows maybe theres some gold in it, ahaha, nope no gold but it did absorb pretty well and gave my skin a nice glow(which they claim it does) but never in a million years would I buy this, all in all at the very least I got to try it without spending a small fortune. And geez isnt that a long ass name Im shocked they fit it on the bottle!

Whomp, Whomp Whomp, yep thats my thought on this months birchbox. I think it was dud, I have had a few really good ones but this is the first where I only liked 1 product. Hopefully Birchbox can kick it up a notch next month and send me things I can actually afford. If your interested in a birchbox head on over to www.birchbox.com and give em a try. Thanks for visiting!

What was in your Birchbox this month, anything good?

Pretty Addictions "The Enemy Collection"

Well I had a birthday this past Friday and my sister decided to pick me up some shadows from Pretty Addictions because she knows I truly am addicted to them and they released a new collection called "The Enemy Collection" and I just had to have it. I also got the " Novelty Neon Collection" which are Not Eye or Lip Safe but you can use them for face painting and such.

Ok i have ordered from Pretty Addictions many times and I have come to know the owner Kassandra pretty well and have to say she has spectacular customer service and shes the sweetest person. She doesnt just toss your order in a box and ship it, she adds so many personal touches to each and every order, you will see what I mean from the pics below.

How cute is that? With every order you also receive a free sample, a thank you card with a hand written message, and this gorgeous packaging. And shipping cost only 2 dollars yep you read that right $2.
She separated each collection into its own bag for me. Each container comes shrink wrapped so you don't have to worry about a package spilling during transport, which I appreciate.  On the bottom of each container she also lists  the ingredients and the name of that shade.
Sorry for the bad pic but I just couldnt seem to get a good one for the life of me, anyway you get the point.
Ooh aren't those pretty. This is "The Enemy Collection" From left to right we have White Lies, Bruised & Broken, Blonde Bombshell, Forbidden, Toxic, Midnight Sun, and High Life. This pic was taken without a flash and each shade is swatched over NYX jumbo pencil in Milk. This picture really doesnt do these colors justice cuz they are much more colorful in person. Every shade is deeply pigmented especially Toxic which is my personal favorite. Right now im wearing toxic, blonde bombshell, and white lies but once again couldnt get a good pic. Right now Toxic is the shadow of the week so if you spend $15 before shipping you get a 5gram jar free. You wouldnt believe how cheap her prices are they start at $1.25 and she also carries blush, bronzer, and luminizer. Every product shade has a unique name and just awesome color payoff.

To purchase head on over to www.prettyaddictions.com
to follow her blog go to www.prettyaddictionsblog.com

So do you have a favorite shade from The Enemy Collection?

More Fortune Cookie Soap, Yep there's more!

As you all know I received 2 massive orders from Fortune Cookie Soap and I didn't want to do one giant post so here is another review for ya. The first one is the shampoo and conditioner bars.
Ok, trust me I know what your thinking " a bar of soap for your hair seems a lil weird" I thought the exact same thing untill I read and watched zillions of reviews. Everyone was saying they worked the same if not better than traditional shampoo and conditioner, so I finally took the plunge and ordered some of theses babies. SO let me tell ya what I got, first off from left to right the brown and white speckled one is a shampoo bar in the scent " cram your face in my sweet pumpkin pie". The pale pink in the middle is " unicorn farts" shampoo bar. On the right this glittery pink is a conditioner bar in " unicorn farts" and in the back those little tins are for storing your bars in, and are not included but you can purchase them seperately.

I tried the unicorn farts shampoo and conditioner bars a few times so far. At first I was like there is no way these bars are gonna even come close to making my hair feel like it normally does after washing. Boy was I wrong these are freakin awesome my hair felt so soft after washing and was very easy to brush. I also like that they dont smell to overwhelming. For some odd reason I didnt order the conditioner bar in " cram your face in my sweet pumpkin pie" so Im gonna try an hold out for another sale an order that.

Up Next We Have The Fortune Cookie Soap
The soaps I chose from the left to right in the top row are " Vivid and Cram Your Face in my Sweet Pumpkin Pie", from left to right in the middle row " Unicorn Farts and In the Loop" and the bottom row from left to right " Vivid and Unicorn Farts".  I also picked up an In the Loop fortune cookie soap but its in my shower right now.

I am super impressed with theses soaps not only do they look cute and smell amazing they do what they are suppose to. This company has an amazing eye for detail, each fortune cookie shaped soap has an actual fortune inside with the name of the soap on the back. They come in a wax paper bag with a label that list the ingredients. Every soap is different from the others because they are made fresh when you place your order and are not mass produced like many store bought soaps are. OMG, the names of these are just so unique, where else are you gonna find a unicorn fart soap or a bar of soap that smells like fruit loops with little fruit loops on it with milk dripping down the side, Um probly nowhere. Thats another reason why I love em. Shipping from them isnt too bad considering they are made fresh, I got my 1st order in about a week and my 2nd order a few days later.
If you have tried these what are some of your favorites?
